Finnish Timberline Scots Pine Pointer year list for the last 1000 years

This is a pointer year presentation extracted from a timberline Scots pine tree-ring chronology  for Northern Finland. Blue lines indicate cold and green lines warm summers.

The coldest summer of the last Millennium was 1601. But why was it the coldest? One probable reason here: the eruption of Huaynaputina volcano in Peru.
